Tatyana Katz, OD
Dr. Katz completed a Doctor of Optometry degree, from the New England College of Optometry. She has practiced at Tufts New England Medical Center, the Lasik Vision Institute in Burlington, MA and in a private ophthalmology office working with retinal specialists. Prior to that, Dr. Katz received an MD degree in Ophthalmology in Russia. In 2008, Dr. Katz started a family owned practice in Swampscott, MA. Dr. Katz is passionate about the well being of her patients. Whatever your eye health needs may be, Tatyana Katz has the tools, knowledge and experience to handle them with care.
Josh (Igor) Kogan
Josh has a background in business from Westfield State University. He greatly enjoys being a part of Advanced Vision Center, a family owned business. Josh started working at AVC as a sales associate while he was working on my bachelor’s degree. Currently, he is the Chief Optician at Advanced Vision Center. He passed the state practical exam to become a licensed Optician. Josh is certified with The American Board of Optician (ABO). In addition, he has been certified as a National Contact Lens Examiner (NCLE). During his free time, he enjoys playing Basketball and spending time with my friends. An interesting fact about Josh, he is bilingual speaking Russian and English fluently!
Nermina joined our team in 2013. She is one of our more experienced staff members. She has been in the ophthalmology/optometry field for over 5 years. She’s often the first friendly face you will see welcoming patients when you enter our office. She works hands-on with all of the latest technology used in our office. One of her favorite parts of eye care is being involved in the process that gives patients the ability to see their world in a whole new way. Nermina is originally from Bosnia and Herzegovina, she came to this country with her father, mother and two older siblings when she was 9 years of age. She enjoys traveling with her husband, hiking, and working-out in her spare time. She also achieved a golden medal in swimming when she was competing in her teen years.
Olga has been working in AVC since March 2012. She is an experienced Medical Assistant, Medical Technician, and Billing Specialist. Prior to that, Olga received MD degree (Honors Diploma) in Therapy and Gastroenterology in Russia in the Faculty of Basic Medicine, M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University. She is fluent in Russian and English, greatly enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Favorite activities with her family and friends include ice figure skating, alpine skiing, camping, hiking and she is very good in belly dancing!
